This article will look at the proposed provisions of the Housing Consumer Protection Bill, 2019 (the proposed Bill) and consider how they relate to the provisions of the Housing Consumers Protection Measures Act, 95 of 1998. (the Act) The article will place special emphasis on the effect the proposed amendments will have on home builders and developers.
