1. How would you describe your overall experience with our firm?
My overall experience with the firm has been very positive. From the beginning, I felt welcomed, respected, and well taken care of. The firm handled my matter with care, efficiency, and dedication, which gave me peace of mind.
2. How effectively did our team communicate with you throughout your matter?
Communication was clear, timely, and consistent. I was kept informed at every stage, and my questions were always answered patiently and thoroughly.
3. Were you satisfied with the professionalism and expertise of the attorney(s) handling your case? Please elaborate.
Yes, I was very satisfied. The attorneys demonstrated a high level of professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail. Their expertise was evident, and I felt confident that my matter was in capable hands.
4. Did you feel supported and informed during the legal process?
Absolutely. I felt supported throughout the entire process. The team made sure I understood what was happening and guided me step by step, which reduced stress and uncertainty.
During the course of 2025 I approached the Roelf Nel Incorporated team for assistance when a dispute arose with a homeowner following the completion of a residential building project. Despite having fulfilled my contractual obligations, the homeowner withheld the retention monies on the basis of alleged defects and, following a breakdown in our relationship, went so far as to lodge a complaint against my company with the NHBRC.
From the outset, I received clear, practical, and confident advice. The team demonstrated a strong understanding of construction law and the NHBRC framework, and guided me through the process with professionalism and precision. They were instrumental in asserting my contractual rights, particularly in circumstances where the homeowner had not complied with their own financial obligations. Through their strategic approach and firm negotiation, the matter was resolved by way of a settlement agreement in which both parties agreed to forfeit their respective claims, and the NHBRC complaint was formally withdrawn. This brought the dispute to a clean and final conclusion, allowing me to move forward without ongoing risk or uncertainty.
I am extremely satisfied with the outcome and the level of service provided. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any contractor or developer facing a contractual or NHBRC-related dispute.
I/We the undersigned, the member and management team of Ideal Trading 297 CC confirm that Roelf Nel Inc., has been our legal representative in an ongoing dispute in terms of the JBCC PBA edition 4.1.
We confirm that the Roelf Nel Inc. team has been professional, courteous, helpful and above all, they showed exceptional knowledge and insight into the specific contract, in relation to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and related litigation.

Our company was the Employer in terms of a JBCC Principal Building Agreement. Throughout their engagement, RN Inc demonstrated a high level of professionalism, sound legal expertise, and a strong client-focused approach.
Below is a summary of the areas in which RNlnc provided legal services, together with our assessment of their performance:
