Master Builders South Africa (MBSA) functions as an alliance of registered employer associations in the building industry. MBSA provides several services, which include regulating compliance matters, training, labour relations to its members and produces and sells the MBSA suite of building contracts. The March 2014 Edition of Master Builders South Africa Domestic Subcontract Agreement (DSA) is one of the contracts in the MBSA suite.
This article will look at the way in which an extension of time (EOT) claim should be submitted under the MBSA Domestic Subcontract Agreement where the subcontractor would be entitled to a revision of the date for interim completion, with or without an adjustment of the subcontract value.
